She she had a handmade doll which was the only toy she remembered. She later Lived in Lapeer where her father owned a lumber yard. She married Clifford Hubbel on her seventeenth birthday and they had three children: Leslie Hubbel 1916 - 1916 Arvilla Hubbel Sandman Wiswary 1917 - 2005 Carl Clifford (Hubbel) Foster 1919 - 1988 She later married Raymond Earl Foster and they lived in Detroit until Ray retired and then they lived in Harbor Beach and went to Fort Meyers, FL each winter. She liked to visit family and friends and always had her jewelry on. She liked to read, crochet and was an excellent seamstress and used patterns from Paris to make tailored suits. She had a white bulldog. I remember her once bringing a colt into the living room. How that thrilled us. She worked at Willow Run during WW II and later worked for S.S. Kresge in the Cosmetics Department. She served cakes from Sanders and Vernors soda pop. She owned a mink coat, a Persian lamb coat and a fox biting another fox fur stole. Much of their household goods were bought at auctions or second hand. And they kept everything. She still had her back brace from when she was a child and had polio. She said someone might need it! ~ Granddaughter
