Mrs. Sarah Ann Kinnick Richmond was born April 5, 1836 in Harrisville, Belmont county, Ohio, and died at her home January 15, 1914, at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 10 days.

She moved to the state of Illinois in 1844 with her parents, Walter and Susanna Kinnick, being one of a family of ten children. On February 9, 1853, she was united in marriage to Thomas Richmond. This union was blessed with eight children, four of whom preceded her in death. The decedent leaves to mourn her departure, two sons and two daughters: Mrs. Almira Lay of Buda; Mrs. Sarah A. Hackett of Tampico; John W. Richmond of Wyanet; and Aaron J. Richmond; thrity-four grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

At the age of forty years, in 1876, she united with the Wesleyan Methodist church at Hickory Grove, Ill., under the pastorate of the Rev. Riley, of which church she was a member in good standing until her death. During her many years of Christian experience, she was a faithful, noble, consistent and humble follower of Christ Jesus. Her career in this life as a dutiful, loving, kind and faithful mother is an inspiration to her many friends. Her passing away from this life unto life eternal was welcomed by her for she knew she was a saved and acceptable child of God.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Fred M. Koch, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist churches of West Bureau and Hickory Grove, on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock from the church. The remains were laid to rest at Wyanet cemetery by loving friends midst a profusion of beautiful floral tributes
