Son of John Grant and Mary Hull. He married 30 March 1710 Sarah Fiske Cook in Windsor. Sarah Fiske Cook was born 1689, the daughter of John Cook 1st and Sarah Fiske. Josiah and Sarah had three children in the next three years: 22 Jan 1711, Josiah Grant Jr. was born 11 March 1712, Sarah Grant was born 20 July 1713, Mary Grant was born Ten days after Mary was born her mother, Sarah Fiske Cook Grant died, 30 July 1713, in Windsor. Josiah married 4 Aug 1714, his first wife’s cousin, Sarah Cook. This Sarah Cook was born, 10 Feb 1691, daughter of Nathaniel Jr. and Mrs. Lydia Cook.
